PAY IT FORWARD

Had an experience at the US Coast Guard Academy last week that made me think.

I was invited by Jeff Janaro to do a fireside chat with 170 cadets majoring in Management to talk about lessons learned from my CG and post CG careers, transition, leadership and entrepreneurship.

To the seasoned professionals out there:

Many of you may not realize just how incredibly valuable you are. You've lived a full and multifaceted life—balancing priorities, raising families, navigating careers, and traveling the world. You've experienced success and failure, made great decisions and mistakes, started businesses, climbed the ranks, endured loss, and celebrated triumphs.

And here you are—still standing.

Through it all, you've gained wisdom and perspective that no textbook can teach. Your journey holds the power to unlock the potential of the next generation. 💡
